Living the Dream: Firefly at the June Wedding Convention in Mystic Falls

As a lifelong fan of The Vampire Diaries, it has always been my dream to become a vendor at a convention in the real-life Mystic Falls, Covington, Georgia. This year, that dream came true when I attended as a merchandise vendor under my brand, Firefly, at the Epic Cons event called the June Wedding. The excitement of being in the town where so many iconic scenes were filmed added a magical touch to the entire experience.

We arrived early Thursday morning, eager to set up our booth for early registration and vendor shopping. The energy was palpable as fans gathered to see the incredible products crafted by vendors. It was heartwarming to witness the excitement on everyone's faces as they explored our products. After a long day, we packed up and moved to the convention center, ready to set up for a weekend filled with Vampire Diaries fun.

As I set up my booth, filled with merchandise inspired by The Vampire Diaries, I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and excitement. Over the past year, I have poured my heart and soul into crafting a collection that I hope will resonate with fellow fans. From handmade apparel of iconic Vampire Diaries quotes to Ms. Cuddles teddy bears, each item was designed with love as a fangirl—a homage to the show that had captured my heart. It was incredible to see fellow fans light up as they found items that brought back memories from their favorite scenes or represented their favorite characters. The shared love for the series created an instant bond, making the convention feel like a gathering of old friends.

The convention weekend was marked by long, hot days, but the thrill of meeting so many amazing people more than made up for it. One of the highlights of attending these conventions is getting to know new faces and hearing your stories. Whether it's discovering your favorite characters, learning about your journey to the convention, or sharing in the excitement of meeting the actors, it's always a joy to connect with fellow fans. The passion and enthusiasm in your eyes are what make these events truly special.

Finding accommodations near Covington Square can be challenging, especially coming from Los Angeles. However, this time we stayed at the most charming Airbnb, Haven House. Themed around the TV shows and movies filmed in Covington, particularly The Vampire Diaries, it was the perfect place to immerse ourselves in the Mystic Falls experience. The Airbnb's prime location made it a quick walk to Covington Square. It was very clean, and the best part were the hosts, Chris and Shelly, who were fantastic and went out of their way to inform us about all the must-see sights in the area.

Spending the weekend with all of you, meeting fellow fans, and even getting a chance to see some of my favorite actors from the TVD universe, was an indescribable experience. It's moments like these that remind me why I started this journey with Firefly.
